Wootzano has been named a finalist for two BUISNESSiQ awards, in 2023. Alfie Joey, a writer, comic, actor, artist, and presenter will host the evening and will be joined by Sara Davies, a fellow local and Dragon's Den star, as the keynote speaker. Both stars are born and bred locals and their love for the region is no secret! When it comes to acknowledging some of the life-changing inventions that originated in the northeast, from lightbulbs to railways and beyond, the northeast is frequently overlooked. This will be the first, of hopefully many, BUSINESSiQ awards which aim to shine a spotlight on just what amazing talent we have right here in the northeast.
There are ten categories in total, which are:
• Training and Skills Award
• Innovation Award
• New Business of the Year
• Creative Business of the Year
• Export Champion Award
• Employee Health and Wellbeing Award
• Community Impact Award
• Net Zero Award
• Business of the Year
• Inspirational Leader of the Year
Wootzano is honoured to have been named a finalist for the Innovation Award for our Avarai system AND the New Business of the Year Award. The company was only established five years ago and is already making significant waves in the fields of agri-tech and robotics.
The winners will be announced at Ramside Hall on the 28th of April.
Best of luck to all the finalists in this year's awards and we look forward to seeing you there!
